Vor der Entfernung der Gallenblase wird das Abdominal-Spekulum zusammen mit der zentralen Trokarhülse in den Nabelbereich geschoben, bis es in der Bauchhöhle sichtbar wird. Anschließend wird die abgetrennte Gallenblase mit der Fasszange in die Trokarhülse hineingezogen. Es wird dann das Abdominal-Spekulum maximal gespreizt und gleichzeitig die Trokarhülse gemeinsam mit der gefassten Gallenblase herausgezogen. Gelingt die totale Entfernung der Gallenblase nicht sofort vollständig, weil sich zu viele oder zu große Steine im Gallenblasen-Fundus befinden, können die Steine durch Spreizen des Spekulums wesentlich einfacher mit einer Steinfaßzange entfernt werden.
